Color scheme in Sharepoint calendar view based on the leave approval status

Question

I have created a calendar view of my leave approval list and have added the condition in calendar to show the data only if it is Approved or is in Pending status. However, both approved and pending data is shown is same color due to which I am unable to identify the difference in the status. Is there a way to color code both status so that the data in the calender view is shown based on the color scheme, for e.g. Green for Approved and Yellow for Pending. Also, I believe the color code should automatically change from Yellow to Green when the status changes from Pending to Approved.
