Magento2 add color & size filter in top navigation menu

Question

How can I add Color, Size filter in top navigation menu of Magento2.

As per my requirement when user hovers on top menu category there needs to be option of selecting sub category based on color & size. Which is basically a filter for that category.

How can I achieve this?

Any advice will be appreciable.
