How to remove 2 blocks and text from side bar on Magento 1.95 [closed]

Magento 1.9 site with Ultimo theme. I have a number of issues with my Magento 1.9 site. I can’t back up as file generated is 10x space occupied by the site, cant have more than a certain number of files so get the error not enough space, emails not being sent and error page showing when payments are made though payment goes through. So I am attempting to create a new site using Magento 2 on a different server just copying the same design. Some how while looking at the settings on live Magento 1.9 site I have added 2 new custom blocks to the side bar on the homepage with text “New Custom Block add your content here” and beneath that “Another New Custom Block add your content here” since to my mind I was not adding anything I was not going back and forth to view changes as I was not changing anything so I have no idea what I did to add those blocks. Can’t restore from backup as I don’t and can’t have one. Other than simply viewing setting I exported Xml from admin with a view to import that file to Magento 2. That didn’t change anything on the new site. And I copied the CMS for the homepage with a view to pasting that into the same place in the Magento 2 site. That didn’t change anything on the Magento 2 site either. I did flush cache etc.. however I need to remove these 2 blocks and text from the live Magento 1.95 side bar. Preferably via admin. I have tried disabling the side bar but the text “New block etc” just moves to the centre column. I have searched the cms tex for the text “Mew block ...” but to no avail. I have looked at dates created and last updated on pages, blocks and widgets but nothing at all recent. I have searched for solutions but cannot find any.
