Question

A family member has signed up for Apple News+, and really likes it. She thought I might like it too, and she's added me via family sharing. I have seen the invite in Messages on my MacBook Pro - which launched the Family Sharing preferences applet, where I was able to accept the invite. When I check Family Sharing now, under "Shared with your family" I see two Apple TV+ entries (odd) and one for Apple News+, which seems promising. However...

When I go in to News+, I still see lots of "Try it Free" messaging, and the magazine I added (called Flying) still has the content paywalled from what I can tell, as it prompts me to sign up instead of showing me article content.

I'm not an expert in News+ of course; is only some content free with a subscription? My wife uses News on her iPhone, so we can't tell if it "looks different on the Mac than it does on the iPhone".

Or, does it seem like the News app on my Mac just isn't registering the subscription yet?
