¿Por qué no puedo acceder a los nodos xml sin espacios de nombres?

He estado golpeándome la cabeza contra mi escritorio durante horas tratando de descubrir por qué no puedo acceder al contenido de entry.author.name. He intentado todas las formas posibles de acceder, pero fallé.
Pero cuando recorro todos los nodos con xml.children, veo el nodo de autor.
Veo que el nodo de autor está separado del espacio de nombres del átomo pero no tiene un espacio de nombres como los otros espacios de nombres.

Otros consejos
también puedes eliminar completamente el espacio de nombres ... aquí está la mejor solución que encontré (simplemente convierte los detalles del espacio de nombres en atributos):
