Estrarre il foglio di lavoro Excel in una stringa in C#

Come posso estrarre il foglio di lavoro Excel in una stringa usando C#? Ho già il foglio e posso salvare come file txt, ma invece di quello voglio estrarlo direttamente in una stringa e fare un po 'di elaborazione.
