Como faço para replicar o seguinte código Python com a API do Python C?

Suponho que o principal problema que estou tendo com isso está simulando a declaração yield
. Pelo que entendi, é uma bonita aparência simples, mas na realidade complexa, declaração - ele cria um gerador com seus próprios métodos __iter__()
e next()
que são chamados automaticamente. Pesquisa através dos docs, parece estar associado com a PyGenObject ; no entanto, como criar uma nova instância deste objeto não é clara. PyGen_New()
recebe como argumento um PyFrameObject
, a única referência a que eu posso encontrar é PyEval_GetFrame()
, o que não parece ser o que eu quiser (ou estou enganado?). Alguém tem alguma experiência com isso eles podem compartilhar?

Tecnicamente a seqüência está fora por um, mas você começa a idéia.
O único problema com isto é que é muito irritante para criar um novo objeto de cada vez que é necessário um gerador - ainda mais em Python de C por causa da monstruosidade exigido que vem com a definição de um novo tipo. E não pode haver nenhuma declaração yield
em C porque C não tem encerramentos. O que eu fiz em vez (desde que eu não poderia encontrá-lo na API Python! - por favor me aponte para um objeto padrão se ele já existir) era criar um simples, classe de objeto gerador genérico que chamados de volta a função C para cada chamada de método next()

Abaixo está uma implementação simples de módulo spam
com uma função myiter(int)
retornando iterator:
