O código de download de imagem funciona para todos os formatos de imagem, problemas com a renderização do formato PNG

Estou usando o código abaixo para baixar e mostrar a imagem do servidor para o meu ImageView

Este código funciona como arquivo para todos os formatos de imagens, mas quando se trata de PNG não deixa a imagem transparente após o download e exibição no ImageView.

Qualquer ideia?

Não sei se será uma solução para você ou não

Mas você pode usar um Drawable em vez de Bitmap

Aqui está o código

      Drawable d = Drawable.createFromStream(is, "src name");
      imgView.setImageDrawable(d);            
        } catch (IOException e) {
            e.printStackTrace();                
        }

}

Isto mostrará um png corretamente
