Да, вы можете использовать FormsAuthentication для своей собственной стратегии. И хотя структура DB ASP.NET вам не подходит, вы можете предоставить простую реализацию членов Provider для использования инфраструктуры членства. Эти две функции не женаты, поэтому вы можете решить, что вам подходит.

Cookie Aspxauth Cookie полностью отделяет токен аутентификации от сеанса, это одна из причин, по которой он используется. Если ваша система использует сеанс, то она действительно расходятся с тем, что пытается сделать аутентификация форм.

Если все находится в сессии, то вам действительно не нужен билет аутентификации вообще, если при условии обеспечения сеанса.
