Android setting a wallpaper from a gridview image

Question

As usual, I am afraid I am in way over my head with this.

I have successfully modified a tutorial to get a set of images from a folder on the SDCard to show in an GridView

What I am attempting to do, is allow the user to select one to set as a wallpaper.

My issue is that whist I know that the folder location of the image has to have been received for it to be appearing I cant work out how to get it and then subsequently set it as a wallpaper.

I have included a small part of one of my many attempts but it throws all kinda errors, mainly NullPointers at the moment as I am trying to access the ImageView from the galleryitem.xml file.
