وسيلفرلايت فقط يدعم وضع رؤوس باستخدام الأسلوب POST يست الطريقة GET. ويرجع ذلك إلى وجود قيود في كيفية تنفيذ مكدس TCP / IP في Silverlight. ويستخدم واجهات برمجة التطبيقات متصفح التمديد بدلا من الذهاب مباشرة ضد المضيف واجهات برمجة التطبيقات لنظم التشغيل.
