Currently I'm running Mac OS Yosemite. I've booted into the recovery partition and I'm using disk utility to perform operations on my main partition. My questions are:

  1. If I erase other partitions using the Recovery Disk Utility, will the actions taken by Disk Utility be logged on my primary partition?
  2. Will the recovery partition or any other partitions with Disk Utility log the actions made?
有帮助吗?

Welcome to Apple Stack Exchange!

  1. If you use Disk Utility from the recovery partition, any other partition affected by the actions you take will not be visible after a reboot.
  2. Assuming you're in the recovery partition, no logs will be produced by the recovery partition because it is a read only partition (supposedly). The reason being, is that the recovery partition is meant to be stable and non-corruptible.

Hope this helps. Tmanok
