I would like to build a system with intell xeon E7 processor. My current motherboard is for lintel i7. Will it work with E7, or do I have to change the motherboard. If I have to change it, which motherboard would you recommend?

Lösung

Intel xeon E7 processors are LGA1567 only. Intel core i7 are LGA1366 or LGA1155(2nd gen).

You have to find motherboard with LGA 1567 socket.
