Question
So I am trying to setup my app with a name rather than using 127 0 0 1.
Every single time I run grunt, my address is http://127.0.0.1:9000/#/ ... I've tried many things and nothing is working...I always get redirected to that place.

Solution
@Dmitry Nikitenko is correct, you don't need Apache. You need to change your Gruntfile
The hostname option is only used to specify where livereload should connect to. This doesn't change the default url which is opened when you start Grunt. What you need is to specify a URL for open in your livereload options. For example:

OTHER TIPS
You don't need Apache here. Connect is a web server, so it already serves your static files. Try to disable Apache and change your hostname option to localhost.
