Jigoshop: Changing country at checkout doesn't refresh shipping option

Question

We're in the final stages of putting together a new Jigoshop site for a customer who will be shipping her products worldwide.

United Kingdom is selected as the default country, and if the user goes to checkout the UK shipping options are shown in the dropdown menu. However if the user then enters a USA address for example, the shipping options are not refreshed.

The user also has the choice of free shipping or next day delivery, but selecting next day at the checkout does not change the price.

The worst thing is the user can simply click "Place Order" and it takes them to the chosen payment page (Worldpay in our example), without adding any shipping costs.

How can we make the shipping options refresh, and force the user to choose an option? This seems like a huge oversight.

This problem was narrowed down to another plugin that was causing an issue in Jigoshop. Updating both the version of jquery used and also the plugin fixed the issue.
