Cannot update repository in hippo-cms

Question

I got this message when I changed some place in hippo-cms and trying to update it to repository:

javax.jcr.RepositoryException: Unable to update item: item.save()

Anyone met this before or has any idea about it?

Yes I've seen this happen before, but to be able to know what happened, there should be more information available in the stack trace or in the application. What did you try to do when this exception got thrown except saving?
