Question

Can anyone recommend a good Podcast for Quality Assurance / Tester folks. I find there is a wide variety on development but yet to find a good one for QA/Testing ( not from the developer point of view ).

Was it helpful?

Solution

An active and weekly podcast that is currently being produced is Software Test Professionals "This Week in Software Testing" (TWiST) (http://softwaretestpro.com/). The site requires registration (Free), and then you can access the podcasts for 30 days at no charge. For the full archive and podcasts older than 30 days, Pro membership is required.

Note; full disclosure, I am the producer of the TWiST podcast, as well as an occasional interviewer. The main interviewer and host is Matt Heusser.

OTHER TIPS

If you are interested in automated testing then you could check out the Watir podcast at http://watirpodcast.com A lot of the content is relevant to the other Watir flavors such as WatiN which was featured in episode 4.

I have not seen one. Well, there used to be one, QA Podcast, but it has gone the way of the dodo. It would be a great thing and I would do it but I am a developer and my point of view would taint it. :) Maybe you could start one. (Come on, do it..)

There is a new location that is collecting QA Podcasts at http://testingpodcast.com/.

qapodcast.com is down, but links to mp3 files are still valid (I tried two random and it worked).

Randy Rice is an excellent resource. He teaches all over the world, though mainly in the US.

This is direct link to podcasts at riceconsulting.com for those of you that do not want to subscribe to the newsletter.

Is somebody here interested in starting a podcast on software testing? I have some experience in both testing and podcasting, so we could try to do something.

CodingQA is an awesome podcast made by a few of the top testers at Microsoft. I highly recommend it!
