Default paper size for 4“ x 6” label printer - Mac OS 10.15.7

Question

I have two 4" x 6" label printers. Every time I print a label, I have to MANUALLY select 4" x 6" output (which is often forgotten -- screwing up several labels) ANNOYING!

So I remember -- head smack -- default paper size setting in System Preferences! But go there and there is no selection for 4" x 6"

I feel like I am not the first to have this issue.

How can I set a label printer to have 4" x 6" as its default media?

You should be able to define it as a Preset, directly from the main Print dialog.

[Example showing different settings/printer, just for locations]

Once you set the page size in the lower marked drop menu, you can then Save Current settings as Preset, from the top drop menu.
That info should then be retained.
