Are there Free SQL Server Mgmt Studio Autocomplete Add-ins?

I know Red Gate has such a product, but I'd rather not have to pay for something which, in my opinion, should be built into SSMS. Thanks!

I totally agree with you on this. Sadly I never found any plugins that you are talking about. So, I moved to tools from EMS SQL Server Manager and TOAD for SQL server. I think the SQL Server 2008 Studio has intellisense but in the express edition, i found it to be seriously lacking.

I’m using ApexSQL Complete. It’s quite good for a free add-in but I’ve found it has some issues working with linked server.

Aqua Data Studio is free if you develop for opensource. It works with most databases and has intelisense.

One of my developers swears by Sql Admin Studio by Simego , I was about to buy SQLPrompt from RedGate (very good but pricey) when she mentioned it. It isn't free but at $29.95 it also does schema and data differencing between two servers.

I'm going to try it out when I get chance.

Take a look at our dbForge SQL Complete. Recently we have released version 2.0, which now has two edition - free Express and shareware Standard.

Free edition has enough features for most of tasks related to T-SQL formatting and autocompletion and supports MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008.
