Question

I'm looking for a free bug/issue tracking system that has a desktop client. It can run on any server type that doesn't require SSH/RemoteDesktop or be hosted
. Client should run on windows.
And it needs to support more than 1 developer.

Does anyone know of something like this, if there is any, have you used it and how did it work for you?

Was it helpful?

Solution

A certain numbers of desktop clients are available for Bugzilla, you can find a list there. The only one I tried is Deskzilla (support Mac OS X), but I just like the web version so i don't use it

OTHER TIPS

I just found Gemini which allows up to 5 users. I havn't used it (yet?) but it looks good so far.

I know this is old, but for those who are still looking and prefer desktop-based bug trackers, you can try FaultTrack. It's free for personal and team use (unlimited users) for up to one project, but must be licensed for additional projects (which is dirt cheap for licensing).

For StackOverflow posting guidelines, I must state that I am also the founder of DCOM Productions, and the creator and principal developer for FaultTrack.

Webissues is a candidate, I used it in a recent project and it was very easy to install, use , and the desktop client UI was fine and fast. it has a web interface too, when you are not in the mood of installing on a new computer.but its email notification service was not so clear and usable like the other parts.

WI can run on a popular MySQL and PHP server.
