Upgrading to Emacs 24.3.1 fixes this unusual bug/problem.
Retrieving the bare text at a particular URL emacs
Question
Before posting this question I tried to using browse-url-emacs
and C-x C-f
but in vain.
The question: Is it possible to retrieve the entire text at a particular url or even the entire server response of a url request? I.e. instead of downloading and then opening a file in emacs, just pass in http(s)://path.to.text.el.py.html.etc/
to some built-in command and get the entire response or the text in a new buffer? Or better still just drag-n-drop the url inside emacs?
