Unable to start the graphical user interface of RapidMiner in Mac OS

Question

I was not able to start rapidminer by double clicking on lib/rapidminer.jar. I also tried java -jar lib/rapidminer.jar that also doesn't work.

I tried ./scripts/rapidminer and rapid miner started

RAPIDMINER_HOME is not set. Trying the directory '.'...

I want to launch the GUI also I tried : ./scripts/RapidMinerGUI

Please help me run the rapidminer gui in Mac.

It worked while i tried it as Root user.

You can set the RAPIDMINER_HOME variable with the location of RapidMiner folder:

export RAPIDMINER_HOME=/home/user/development/rapidminer-5
