iPhone noise reduction, can I disable \ tune it?

I am developing an app that needs to play a sound while the user is on the phone. It works fine on 3G iPhones. On iPhone4 it does not work because of its new noise reduction system. Do you know of any workaround or if it's possible to disable it?
