Question

I'm receiving the following error when try to start an activity within the native code of my Android application for Adobe Air:

android.content.ActivityNotFoundException: Unable to find explicit activity class {air.InAppPurchases/com.industrycorp.AndroidInAppPurchaseLib.AsyncActivity}; have you declared this activity in your AndroidManifest.xml?

I've been looking at many tutorials and guides and am unable to solve this problem.

My native AndroidManifest.xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
          package="com.industrycorp.AndroidInAppPurchaseLib"
          android:versionCode="1"
          android:versionName="1.0">
    <uses-permission android:name="com.android.vending.BILLING" />
    <application android:label="@string/app_name" android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher">
        <activity android:name="ACTIVITY_ENTRY_NAME"
                  android:label="@string/app_name">
            <intent-filter>
                <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN"/>
                <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER"/>
            </intent-filter>
        </activity>
        <activity android:name=".IAPView.IAPListActivity"/>
        <activity android:name=".AsyncActivity" android:label="async_activity"/>
    </application>
</manifest>

My AndroidManifest.xml on the Air side:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

My Activity Class:

public class AsyncActivity extends Activity {
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        IAPManager.getInstance().getContext().dispatchStatusEventAsync("message", "This shit b cray cray");
        IAPManager.getInstance().makePurchase(this);
    }

    @Override
    protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) {

        // Pass on the activity result to the helper for handling
        Log.d("IAPManager", "Shit is about to hit the fan");
        if (!IAPManager.getInstance().getHelper().handleActivityResult(requestCode, resultCode, data)) {
            // not handled, so handle it ourselves (here's where you'd
            // perform any handling of activity results not related to in-app
            // billing...
            super.onActivityResult(requestCode, resultCode, data);
        }
    }

    @Override
    public void onDestroy() {
        IAPManager.getInstance().endPurchase(this);
        super.onDestroy();
    }
}

Initializing my Activity in Java Code:

Intent intent = new Intent(context.getActivity(), AsyncActivity.class);
context.getActivity().startActivity(intent);
Was it helpful?

Solution 2

So I found out that the native AndroidManifest.xml is not used at all in the extension, only the one used in AIR.

The answer to my problem was just to include the fully qualified name of my class as it's seen in Java:

Incorrect:

<activity android:name=".AsyncActivity"/>

Correct:

<activity android:name="com.industrycorp.AndroidInAppPurchaseLib.AsyncActivity"/>

OTHER TIPS

I had the same exception. I have found a solution by having the same fully qualified name than stated in previous answer (in AIR's manifestAdditions):

include the fully qualified name of my class as it's seen in Java
And by starting the activity differently:

Intent intent = new Intent();
intent.setFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK);
intent.setClassName("com.industrycorp.AndroidInAppPurchaseLib", "com.industrycorp.AndroidInAppPurchaseLib.AsyncActivity");
context.getActivity().startActivity(intent);
