Estoy escribiendo una DLL en Delphi usando el siguiente ejemplo de C ++:

Desafortunadamente, no sé casi nada sobre C ++ y punteros. ¿Qué debo usar en lugar de char * (PChar?) Y void *?
function process_message (const pmessage: PChar; const param: ???): Double; export;
begin
???
end;
exports process_message;
Cualquier ayuda con el cuerpo de la función también será muy apreciada. Me doy cuenta de que no es ciencia espacial, pero no aprendería los conceptos básicos de C ++ solo para convertir un par de líneas, si alguien tiene la amabilidad de hacer eso por mí :-)
