Tuve un problema similar al vincular una matriz de enteros provenientes de un ViewModel al ComboBox. Aquí lo que funcionó para mí.

Aquí está XAML, donde estamos vinculando la propiedad ArrayOfIntegers a ItemsSource del ComboBox
