Ruby/HttParty: horario al agregar Feed a Google Reader usando su API

Question

Estoy intentando agregar una suscripción al lector de Google, usando su API, sin embargo, recibo el siguiente error:

Ejecución expiró

No he tenido problemas para leer (usar 'obtener') una lista de suscripciones o etiquetas. Pero se pasa a tiempo cuando intento agregar un sub (usando 'Post')

El código está escrito en Ruby on Rails y estoy usando HTTParty para manejar la comunicación con el servicio web.

Mi código es el siguiente (todavía soy nuevo en Ruby/Rails, lo siento por las malas prácticas incluidas a continuación. Estoy más que feliz de que me señalen):
