gethostbyname () y valgrind

Question

Quiero evitar este error cada vez que llamo gethostbyname () en mi código C.

Puede estar relacionado con el hecho de que gethostbyname es no reentrante y devuelve un objeto que es compartida por todos los hilos. Que es mejor usar getaddrinfo y FreeAddrInfo en lugar de gethostbyname .
