Error installing Ruby 2.0 using RVM on OS X Snow Leopard

I'm trying to install Ruby 2.0 using RVM on my Macbook running Snow Leopard. RVM Version - 1.18.18 XCode Version - 4.0.2 GCC Version - 4.2.1

When I run rvm install 2.0.0, it fails with

Error running 'make -j4',
please read /Users/membLoper/.rvm/log/ruby-2.0.0-p0/make.log

I suspect its something to do with my gcc but cannot figure out what exactly. I've tried setting the readline to brew installed location, setting the gcc to Clang and still run into this error. Any help is appreciated.

The problem is because of the old Xcode, try compiling using CC=gcc-4.2 - but it does not have to work, if that fails try to update Xcode or install Command Line Tools for Xcode

This is what worked for me:

rvm install 2.0.0 --autolibs=2 --with-gcc=clang
