CodeIgniter not setting csrf cookie with Nginx

Question

I'm using nginx and I can't login to the admin panel. It's using https so that may be a part of it.

Here are the relevant portions of my nginx.conf

    listen 80;
    listen 443 ssl;

    ssl_certificate /ssl.crt;
    ssl_certificate_key /ssl.key;

    server_name mysite.com;
    root /var/www/mysite;
    index index.php;

Turns out I had to use www.mysite.com for server_name instead of just mysite.com.
