Comment obtenir la fréquence d'images (fps) en Python + Pygame?

Question
Je travaille sur une petite carte-échange jeu Voyage monde que je sorte d'Envision comme un croisement entre Bejeweled et les 10 jours de jeux de société géographie. Jusqu'à présent, le codage a été va bien, mais le frame rate est assez mauvais ... En ce moment je suis en train de bas de 20 sur mon Core 2 Duo. Ceci est un problème puisque je crée le jeu pour le concours des développeurs d'Intel Mars, qui est carrément destiné aux netbooks emballage processeurs Atom de faible puissance.

Je suis très nouveau pour Python et Pygame (ce qui est la première chose que je leur ai utilisé pour), et je manque malheureusement dans la formation formelle CS ... ce qui est de dire que je pense qu'il ya probablement beaucoup de mal les pratiques en cours dans mon code, et beaucoup qui pourrait être optimisé. Si certains d'entre vous les mains âgées Python ne me dérangerait pas jeter un oeil à mon code et voir si vous ne trouvez pas des zones évidentes d'optimisation, je serais très reconnaissant.

Une chose que je suis préoccupé par mon gestionnaire d'événements, que je me sens peut avoir des totalités de performance en elle, et une autre chose est mon rendu ... Je suis à peu près juste blitting tout à l'écran tout le temps (voir les routines rendu dans mon game_components.py ci-dessous); J'ai récemment découvert que vous ne devez mettre à jour les zones de l'écran qui ont changé, mais je suis toujours sur la façon brumeuse qui a accompli exactement ... cela pourrait être un énorme problème de performance?

Merci aux conseils ci-dessous, j'ai couru cprofile sur mon code. Ce serait formidable si quelqu'un serait disposé à examiner cette sortie et laissez-moi savoir ce qui est et ce qui est de ne pas attendre.

La solution
Que les événements viennent à vous avec event.wait
Avez-vous vraiment besoin de faire traiter tous les tics? Sinon, utilisez pygame.event.wait
pour votre boucle d'événement à traiter uniquement lorsqu'un événement arrive, et pygame.time.set_timer
si vous avez besoin d'événements périodiques comme votre SecondEvent
.
Cela signifie que vous ne dessinerez beaucoup d'images pendant quelques secondes lorsque les événements ne viennent pas, mais c'est correct. L'utilisation event.wait diminuera l'utilisation du processeur et laissez-vous toujours réactif et supprime probablement la nécessité de time.wait vous avez là la place.
Ne pas redessiner la carte à partir de zéro chaque tick
Ne pas Room.render blit l'arrière-plan à chaque fois, ce qui signifie alors il doit passer et redessiner la carte entière et toutes les cartes. Faire une fois. Alors n'ont pas les cartes elles-mêmes réengendrer moins ils ont changé l'obscurité ou ils se déplacent.

Oui. display.update
et Surface.blit
sont en haut des résultats de votre profil. Vous avez fait plus d'un million blits, dans environ 5 000 tiques, ce qui correspond à 200 blits chaque tic-tac.
En outre, sixième sur vos résultats de profil est display.set_caption
, que je suppose est l'affichage du compteur de FPS lui-même? A 7 secondes de 157, ce n'est pas votre grand point d'accès, mais toujours intéressant de savoir.
Je dirais que simple attente de 5-10ms suffit à ton sérieux vers le bas l'utilisation du processeur qui ne cessent de re-rendu les causes de l'écran.
