L'installazione di Rails non riesce su Ubuntu 10.10

Sto cercando di installare rails su Ubuntu 10.10, ma ottengo File non trovato: lib ogni volta.Ruby e Rubygems sono stati installati correttamente.Ho visto questo problema pubblicato in tutto il Web ma nessuna soluzione funziona per me.Ho reinstallato rdoc e ottengo ancora lo stesso risultato.

Dovresti evitare la versione pacchettizzata di Ruby (cioè, evitare la versione di Ruby che proviene da apt-get install ruby).Il sistema di pacchettizzazione Debian (che utilizza Ubuntu) è in conflitto con ciò che Ruby si aspetta.

Invece, dovresti installare Ruby dai sorgenti.

C'è un simpatico strumento chiamato RVM per aiutarti a farlo.

# Install prerequisites
$ sudo apt-get install git curl wget

# Download and install RVM
$ bash < <( curl http://rvm.beginrescueend.com/releases/rvm-install-latest )

# Install RVM into your .bash_profile
