Continuazioni e per le comprensioni: qual è l'incompatibilità?

Sono nuovo a Scala e sto cercando di avvolgere la testa attorno alle continue che sto cercando di riprodurre il yield return Dichiarazione C#.

Come potete vedere, gen2 è commentato in quanto non si compila. Dal momento che posso facilmente iterare sul contenuto di un elenco usando un while loop (vedi gen3), Mi aspettavo che il ciclo foreach funzionasse altrettanto bene.

L'errore di compilazione è il seguente:
