NotifyIcon non visualizzato

Question

Sto scrivendo una semplice applicazione che vorrei controllare con un notificationIcon piuttosto che un modulo, ho seguito alcuni esempi che ho trovato tramite Google, ma il mio notificationIcon non verrà visualizzato. Cosa sto sbagliando?

In realtà ho appena finito un progetto che è iniziato come NotifyIcon. Il tuo codice (immagino tu abbia appena fornito uno snippet) è incredibilmente simile al mio.

Ho controllato il tuo codice e l'unica modifica che ho dovuto apportare per farlo funzionare era cambiare il modo in cui hai chiamato l'icona in:

Un altro motivo per cui NotifyIcon non viene visualizzato è se Windows Explorer è in esecuzione con privilegi elevati mentre l'applicazione della barra delle applicazioni non lo è (solo su sistemi con UAC ovviamente).

Questo può accadere se explorer.exe si è arrestato in modo anomalo o è stato ucciso e quindi l'utente lo ha riavviato manualmente da Task Manager elevato.

Il controllo NotifyIcon utilizza il metodo nativo Shell_NotifyIcon all'interno, ma non controlla il valore restituito. Se Shell_NotifyIcon restituisce FALSE, non verrai mai avvisato.

Ho dovuto fare un breakpoint con WinDbg su Shell_NotifyIcon e GetLastError mi ha dato ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED. Quindi mi sono reso conto che esiste un problema di autorizzazione e potrebbe essere causato dal riavvio di Explorer esplorato. Ulteriori test hanno confermato questo assunto.

Tuttavia, questo è un caso piuttosto raro.
