Perché BCL Gzipstream (con StreamReader) non rileva in modo affidabile gli errori di dati con CRC32?

L'altro giorno ho incontrato la domanda Gzipstream non rileva i dati corrotti (anche i passaggi CRC32)? (Di cui questo potrebbe benissimo essere un "duplicato", ho sentimenti contrastanti sull'argomento. Sono stato anche quello che ha aggiunto il CRC32 al titolo, ma a posteriori che sembra fuori posto con il resto del post). Dopo aver esplorato un po 'il problema da solo, penso che il problema lo sia molto più grande di quanto l'altra domanda descrive inizialmente.

Ho ampliato l'altra domanda e ho reso il codice di prova eseguito sotto Linqpad e tentare di mostrare meglio il CRC32 (controllo della ridondanza ciclica) problema, se esiste davvero. (Poiché il codice è solo un lieve modifiche Sulla base dell'originale, è possibile che la configurazione/metodologia del test sia imperfetta o ci sia un'altra strana Quirk/Pebcak entrambe.)

I risultati sono strani perché I dati corrotti sono non sempre causando un'eccezione (qualsiasi!) essere cresciuto. Notare che solo qualche volta Il controllo CRC32 sembra effettivamente "funzionare". I byte corrotti che causano l'indice fuori range/cattiva intestazione/piè di pagina cattivi possono essere ignorati perché possiamo supporre che stiano uccidendo la decompressione prima al controllo CRC32 (che è perfettamente comprensibile, anche se l'indiceUoTofRangeException dovrebbe essere probabilmente avvolto da un invalidDataxception) quindi,

Dal GZIP Footer contiene Entrambi il CRC32 e la lunghezza del dati non compressi sembra che il Il tasso di rilevamento degli errori dovrebbe essere "significativamente più alto" - cioè io non lo farebbe Aspettatevi un singolo caso di fallimento di seguito, tanto meno un numero di flussi corrotti non rilevati. Note aggiuntive:

Il test può essere sottilmente imperfetto in questo caso. Quando il gzipstream "non riesce a rilevare la corruzione" (nessuna eccezione), i dati letti dal flusso sono "" (una stringa vuota): in quel caso, perché lo fa ReadToEnd() non Solleva un'eccezione (IOException o altro)?

È così non Gzipstream ma piuttosto il flusso che è "eccentrico" qui o è ancora un problema con il gzipstream (per non aver lanciato un'eccezione)? Esiste un modo corretto per gestire questo caso d'uso in modo affidabile? (Considera quando il flusso di input dalla posizione corrente davvero è vuoto.)

Prefazione

Gli utenti .NET [4 e precedenti] non dovrebbero utilizzare le classi GZIPStream o DeflateStream fornite da Microsoft in qualsiasi circostanza, a meno che Microsoft non li sostituisca completamente con qualcosa che funzioni. Usa invece la libreria DotNetZip.

Aggiornamento alla prefazione

.NET Framework 4.5 e successivamente hanno risolto il problema di compressione e GzipStream e DeflateStream usano Zlib in quelle versioni. Non so se il problema CRC indicato di seguito sia stato risolto.

Un altro aggiornamento

Il bug CRC non è solo risolto, ma Microsoft ha deciso di essere non risolverà esso!

 

La mia risposta in Perché il mio gZip C# produce un file più grande di Fiddler o PHP? mostra che questo comportamento non riflette una corretta implementazione del rilevamento della corruzione GZIP. In tutti i casi testati, l'errore verrebbe rilevato da una corretta implementazione. (Tale risposta rileva anche perché sette dei casi provocano buoni dati.)

Un'altra domanda è: in che modo questo metodo di "compressione" produce 174 byte di output da una stringa a 94 byte? Soprattutto visto che la stringa è comprimibile: GZIP la riduce a 84 byte, anche con il sovraccarico di un'intestazione e del rimorchio a 18 byte. Puoi fornire una discarica esagonale di quei 174 byte?
