Fornire aggiornamenti di stato per la macro che non risponde allo stato fino al completamento

Question

Ho una macro VBA per cercare attraverso gli archivi di posta elettronica.

Durante la ricerca di decine di decine di migliaia di e-mail, (o anche solo un paio di centinaia della macchina di prova) visualizza lo stato per alcuni secondi, quindi entra in uno stato che non risponde mentre si passa attraverso il resto delle e-mail.

Ciò ha portato gli utenti impazienti a chiudere il compito prematuramente, e vorrei rettificarlo fornendo aggiornamenti di stato.

Ho codificato la seguente soluzione e riteniamo che il problema sta nel modo in cui la GarbageCollector funziona in VBA durante il loop.

Sì, aumenterà il tempo di esecuzione ma nel caso ci siano migliaia di e-mail, non hai molte opzioni.

Suggerimento: Inoltre potresti voler cambiare

StatusBarMsg = "Processing " & x & " out of " & initialCount & " messages."

Inoltre è consigliabile informare il tuo utente all'inizio del processo che potrebbe richiedere del tempo e quindi possono eseguire il processo quando sono sicuri che non vogliono lavorare su quel PC?
