Usa pacchetto chiamato xvkbd . Dovrebbe essere all'interno di ogni distribuzione Linux. La sintassi è semplice:

xvkbd -text [line of keycodes]

Per esempio in esecuzione Warcraft 3 gioco con accesso automatico Battle.net potrebbe essere:
