Domanda

Every week or two, time permitting, I recap what I have browsed/watched/listened to etc. online. It provides insight into my thought processes, it helps give me some continuity of purpose and aids my memory. But pages browsed in in-app browsers on iPhone/iPad and, of course, any use of apps themselves leaves no history log that I'm aware of. Currently I try to remember to open any in-app browser pages in Safari, but in practice I often forget. My SOHO router doesn't allow HTTP logging and isn't compatible with OpenWRT, which I assume would allow it.

Is there a way, other than with router logs, to obtain this in-app browser history? And would router logging be a reliable method if available?

Soluzione

There is currently (as of iOS 14) no way to view browser history if it's done within an app. Developers use Apple's SFSafariViewController class and it doesn't expose this option to developers.

In addition to not being able to view history, in-app browsers can't provide access to autofill data or website data.
