JButton ha bisogno di cambiare il testo JTextField

Questa è compiti a casa. A partire classe Java. Ancora confezionamento mia testa intorno a questa roba.
Il progetto è quello di rendere un sistema di gestione dell'inventario.
Non ho capito tutto, tranne come fare questo tasto modificare il testo in un JTextField. Ha bisogno di aggiungere informazioni da un array di un prodotto (DVD in questo caso). Il libro parla modi diversi di gestire le cose come tipo di carattere, la posizione e lo stato di un JTextField ma non copre la formattazione o chiamando un metodo per il testo.
Ecco un esempio di quello che voglio fare con un JTextArea. Questo è in sostanza quello che voglio fare con i miei JTextFields.

Eventuali suggerimenti consigli o gomitate apprezzato. Non fare tutto per me però per favore.
Soluzione
Si aggiunge un listener di azione al pulsante (in modo che ascolterà l'azione tasto (clicca)). Poi programmare che l'azione per modificare il valore TextField.

aButton.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
aTextField.setText(aNewText);
}
});
Si osservi che le variabili a cui si accede con in 'actionPerformed' devono essere finale (tranne i campi).

Altri suggerimenti
Per un riferimento incrociato come "il mio tasto cambia la mia Testbox", l'idea è quella di dare al pulsante (il controller, il codice che andranno attivate quando si fa clic) un riferimento alla casella di testo. Così, quando si preme il pulsante, si può cambiare la casella di testo.
Sono molti miglioramenti possibili, ma questo è l'idea di base.
Credo che non capisco la domanda.
Non si sa come aggiungere più parti di testo per un singolo componente.

Allora perché è così difficile per aggiungere un singolo pezzo di testo a più componenti?
