MFMailComposeViewController translucency does not work

The MFMailComposeViewController translucency property does not work.

MFMailComposeViewController *mailView = [[MFMailComposeViewController alloc] init];
mailView.navigationBar.translucent = NO;

[self presentModalViewController:mailView animated:YES];

It wont work because it is a seperate app thats shown and not really a local view.
