Estou tentando otimizar uma consulta específica para obter o tempo mais rápido possível. A primeira coisa que veio à mente foi tentar o Percona 5.6 em um hardware diferente/melhor:

Hardware (ambos têm o mesmo controlador de RAID/cache/bateria):
MySQL Server: 4x300GB 10K SAS - RAID10 (8 núcleos da CPU)
Servidor Percona: 2x100GB Kingston SSD E100 - RAID1 (24 núcleos da CPU)

No MySQL 5.5.33, essa consulta é executada em média 15 segundos.
Em Percona 5.6.14, essa consulta é executada em média 10 segundos.

Vou jogar meu chapéu nisso e ver se alguma coisa pode ajudar ... primeiro, para beneficiar as condições de consulta, eu começaria adicionando os seguintes índices às respectivas tabelas. Por ter as múltiplas colunas -chave, e não apenas o indivíduo pode ajudar significativamente o desempenho.

ON the specs table, I didn't see the account_id as part of the table structure... however, if it SHOULD be there, I would have an index ON
Specs          (account_id, product_id )

Em seguida, em sua consulta, você tem algumas condições com base no status ativo e de entrega = ex: '1' ou '2'. Estes são campos numéricos. Você deve deixá-los como apenas 1 e 2, respectivamente, para que ele não precise fazer a conversão do tipo dados para comparação.
