Falha na instalação do Rails no Ubuntu 10.10

Estou tentando instalar rails no Ubuntu 10.10, mas sempre recebo Arquivo não encontrado: lib.Ruby e Rubygems foram instalados corretamente.Já vi esse problema postado em toda a web, mas nenhuma solução funciona para mim.Reinstalei o rdoc e ainda obtenho o mesmo resultado.

Você deve evitar a versão empacotada do Ruby (ou seja, evite a versão do Ruby que vem de apt-get install ruby).O sistema de empacotamento do Debian (que o Ubuntu usa) está em conflito com o que Ruby espera.

Em vez disso, você deve instalar o Ruby da fonte.

Existe uma boa ferramenta chamada RVM para ajudá-lo a fazer isso.
