Skype is showing up in Launchpad twice — why? How do I fix it?

Skype is showing up in Launchpad twice. It's been acting like this for a while but if I remember correctly I think it first started when I let Skype auto-update itself a while back.

Any ideas why Skype is showing up twice?

How can get rid of the extra Skype instance?

I have searched my hard drive using spotlight including "system files" for an extra application bundle. None exists.

When click either of the Skype icons in Launchpad they both seem to launch the same application (Activity Monitor confirms this — they are at the same path).
