Qual é a melhor maneira de fazer um aplicativo delphi (delphi 2007 para win32 aqui) ficar completamente em tela cheia, removendo a borda do aplicativo e cobrindo a barra de tarefas do Windows?
Estou procurando algo semelhante ao que o IE faz quando você pressiona F11.
Desejo que esta seja uma opção de tempo de execução para o usuário, e não uma decisão de tempo de design de minha parte.
Conforme mencionado na resposta aceita
BorderStyle := bsNone;
fazia parte do caminho para fazer isso.Estranhamente eu continuei recebendo um E2010 Incompatible types: 'TFormBorderStyle' and 'TBackGroundSymbol'
erro ao usar essa linha (outro tipo tinha bsNone
definiram).
Para superar isso eu tive que usar:
BorderStyle := Forms.bsNone;

Coloque no formulário no Show evento tal código:

E para o OnCanResize esse:

Maximize o formulário e ocultar a barra de título.A linha maximizar é feita na memória, mas tenho certeza de que WindowState é a propriedade que você deseja.
Há também esse artigo, mas isso parece muito complicado para mim.

Testado e funciona em Win7 x64.
Hum.Olhando as respostas, lembro-me de ter lidado com isso há cerca de 8 anos, quando codifiquei um jogo.Para facilitar a depuração, usei o contexto do dispositivo de um formulário Delphi normal como fonte para uma exibição em tela cheia.
A questão é que o DirectX é capaz de executar qualquer contexto de dispositivo em tela cheia - incluindo aquele alocado pelo seu formulário.
Portanto, para fornecer recursos "verdadeiros" de tela cheia a um aplicativo, localize uma biblioteca DirectX para Delphi e ela provavelmente conterá o que você precisa imediatamente.
No meu caso, a única solução funcional é:
