É possível enviar um email do meu aplicativo Java usando uma conta do GMail?Configurei o servidor de e-mail da minha empresa com o aplicativo Java para enviar e-mail, mas isso não vai funcionar quando eu distribuir o aplicativo.Respostas usando Hotmail, Yahoo ou GMail são aceitáveis.

Primeiro baixe o API JavaMail e certifique-se de que os arquivos jar relevantes estejam em seu caminho de classe.

Naturalmente, você desejará fazer mais no catch blocos do que imprimir o rastreamento de pilha como fiz no código de exemplo acima.(Remova o catch blocos para ver quais chamadas de método da API JavaMail lançam exceções para que você possa ver melhor como tratá-las adequadamente.)

Outras pessoas têm boas respostas acima, mas gostaria de acrescentar uma observação sobre minha experiência aqui.Descobri que, ao usar o Gmail como um servidor SMTP de saída para meu aplicativo da web, o Gmail só me permite enviar cerca de 10 mensagens antes de responder com uma resposta anti-spam que preciso percorrer manualmente para reativar o acesso SMTP.Os e-mails que eu estava enviando não eram spam, mas sim e-mails de "boas-vindas" do site quando os usuários se registravam em meu sistema.Então, YMMV, e eu não confiaria no Gmail para um webapp de produção.Se você estiver enviando e-mails em nome de um usuário, como um aplicativo de desktop instalado (onde o usuário insere suas próprias credenciais do Gmail), você pode estar bem.

Além disso, se você estiver usando Spring, aqui está uma configuração funcional para usar o Gmail para SMTP de saída:

As soluções de código publicadas podem causar problemas quando você precisa configurar múltiplas sessões SMTP em qualquer lugar dentro da mesma JVM.

O JavaMail FAQ recomenda usar

Session.getInstance(properties);

em vez de

Session.getDefaultInstance(properties);

porque getDefault usará apenas as propriedades fornecidas na primeira vez que for invocado.Todos os usos posteriores da instância padrão ignorarão as alterações de propriedade.

Um caminho fácil seria ter a conta do Gmail configurada/habilitada para acesso POP3.Isso permitiria que você enviasse via SMTP normal através dos servidores do Gmail.

Então você enviaria através de smtp.gmail.com (na porta 587)
