como implementar Mestre detalhes aulas encontrar função em javascript?

Eu tenho esse código:

    function Item(id, itemType, itemData, itemCategoryId, itemRank) {
    this.id = id;
    this.itemType = itemType;
    this.itemData = itemData;
    this.itemCategoryId = itemCategoryId;
    this.itemRank = itemRank;
}
function Category(id) {
    this.id = id;
}

E eu quero escrever uma função para a classe Item que eu dar-lhe o CategoryId e ele irá retornar todos os itens de objetos com esta categoria id,
Qual é a melhor maneira de fazer isso?

Não vejo nenhuma variedade ....

Eu diria que haveria um protótipo itens ( Note que não há aulas em javascript ), e seria algo parecido com isto:

function Item(id, categoryId, data, rank) {
  this.id = id;

  this.rank = rank;

function Items() {
  this.items = [];
  this.findByCategory = function(categoryId) { 
    var result = [];
    for(var i=0;i<this.items.length;i++) {
       if (categoryId == this.items[i].categoryId) 
          result.push(this.items[i]);
    }
    return result;
  }
  this.add = function(id, categoryId, data, rank) {
    this.items.push(new Item(id, categoryId, data, rank));
