Where is .ctags file located in Ubuntu?

Question

Where is .ctags file located in Ubuntu? I have exuberant-ctags installed but cannot find it.

I found nothing about this in Google.

.ctags is not created by default so you must create it yourself:

$ touch ~/.ctags
