Еще одна причина, по которой NotifyIcon не отображается, заключается в том, что проводник Windows запущен с повышенными привилегиями, а ваше приложение tray - нет (конечно, только в системах с UAC).

Это может произойти, если explorer.exe произошел сбой или был убит, а затем пользователь вручную перезапустил его из диспетчера задач с повышенными правами.

Элемент управления NotifyIcon использует внутри собственный метод Shell_NotifyIcon, но не проверяет возвращаемое значение.Если Shell_NotifyIcon вернет FALSE, вы никогда не будете уведомлены.

Мне пришлось установить точку останова с помощью WinDbg в Shell_NotifyIcon, и GetLastError выдал мне ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED.Итак, я понял, что возникла проблема с разрешениями, и это может быть вызвано перезапущенным повышением прав проводника.Дальнейшие тесты подтвердили это предположение.
