WinHttp no funciona cuando el nombre de host no contiene www.(error 12029)

Estoy probando esta winhttp ejemplo de http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384270%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

Que funciona bien, pero si me saca de la www.de www.microsoft.com tengo un 12029 ERROR_WINHTTP_CANNOT_CONNECT error, ¿cuál es la razón para esto?

Todos los sitios web de trabajo con winhttp si se utiliza www.?debido a que algunos sitios web no uso de la www, no pude encontrar ninguna ahora, pero vi algunos sitios web que muestran "Servidor no encontrado" en el navegador al acceder con www.pero ellos trabajaban sin ella.

microsoft.com devuelve un 301 Moved Permanently encabezado, para obtener winhttp honor y redireccionar a la URL en la Location: encabezado (www). usted necesidad de utilizar WinHttpSetOption para establecer el adecuado WINHTTP_OPTION_REDIRECT_* opción(s).
