¿Existe un programa X/Gnome estándar que muestre el ancho y la profundidad X,Y en píxeles de una ventana que selecciono?Algo similar a la forma en que un xterm te muestra el ancho y la profundidad de la ventana (en líneas) a medida que cambias su tamaño.
Estoy ejecutando Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.4.

Sí, estás buscando el programa 'xwininfo'.Ejecútelo en otra terminal y luego haga clic en la ventana sobre la que desea obtener información y se la dará.
